How should you read this hub?

Each page below starts with one thing a business might already hold and follows it to the funding routes that lend against it. The grid references (A1, B2 and so on) are only there to help you find your way back; there is no required order.

Most owners hold more than one thing. A trading business might be owed money by customers, own a ute outright and have equity in a home. Read the page for each, then use the Funding finder to see how the routes rank when you combine them.

Quick answers

What if I hold several of these things?

That usually widens your options. Different assets can support different routes, and sometimes one facility sized on several assets together. The finder ranks the routes for the combination you tick.

Do I need to own the asset outright?

Not always. Some routes lend against assets with finance already on them, but the equity left over is what counts, and an existing financier may hold priority over it.
